The continuous futures contract of natural gas on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), which hit a fresh 52-week high of ₹251.3 in early November last year, reversed the direction abruptly and started to depreciate.
The decline continued where it marked a low of ₹165 in the ensuing month.
Nevertheless, this level acted as a support against which the futures bounced. There has been considerable volatility since November, but in large, the contract is treading in a broad range of ₹180 and ₹220.
The recent leg of rally in the June contract began in April this year on the back of the support at ₹192. ....

PESHAWAR: The traders here on Saturday asked the government to lift the lockdown as the business community could no longer afford to shut down markets.
Talking to reporters, Traders Alliance Peshawar President Ghulam Bilal Javed said that no-one was in favour of lockdown but they had no option when the coronavirus cases increased in Peshawar.
However, he said the decision to impose lockdown from May 8 to 16 was imposed on the traders, adding that they did not want any extension in the lockdown.
Ghulam Bilal asked Chief Minister Mahmood Khan to lift the lockdown and open markets in a phase-wise manner with strict enforcement of standard operating procedures introduced to limit the spread of the Covid-19. ....

Sebi margin rule: How Sebi's margin rule changed the equation for average traders?

Margin trading refers to the practice of using borrowed funds from a broker to trade a financial asset, which becomes the collateral for the loan from the broker. Traders are allowed to buy stocks by paying a marginal amount of the actual value.
Margin trading can be considered as leveraging positions by traders in the market either with cash or security. The margin can be settled later when traders square off positions.
In order to avail the margin trading facility (MTF), traders need to have a margin account with the broker. The margin varies across brokerages. Traders need to pay a certain sum (minimum) at the time of opening the MTF account. At the same time, they are required to maintain a minimum balance at all times. KARACHI: In comparison to last year, Karachi witnessed better Eidul Fitr sales this year, but traders still lack optimism about the situation. All Karachi Tajir Ittehad Chairman Atiq Mir thinks Eid business in the city has hardly crossed the Rs30 billion mark. Last year it was barely Rs10 billion.
According to the city’s electronic market association, their business was 75 per cent less this Ramazan. The cloth merchant association believes that there was no drastic difference in this year’s Eid sales in comparison to last year. ....
