Dialogue Platform to Strengthen Civil Society’s Role in Kazakhstan
May 26, 2021, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan – Today, the Kazakhstan Rule of Law Program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI), organized the first meeting of a dialogue platform to strengthen the legal environment for civil society organizations (CSOs) in cooperation with the Committee for Civil Society Affairs under the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The new dialogue platform is a permanent body for exchanging information related to improving the legal regulation of CSOs. ....

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM - A memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Korean Agency for the Promotion of Animated Films, Kazinform cites the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Information and Social Development.

The memorandum provides for the exchange of experience between the parties, the creation of favorable conditions for the implementation of television projects, lectures, master classes and trainings on the production of animated cartoons.
It should be noted that the Korean Agency was founded in 1998 and is implementing the project «Academy of Animation for Children and Adolescents with Special Educational Needs.» The goal of this project is to reduce inequality in education, assist in social adaptation, as well as create jobs and employ people with disabilities. ....

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM â The awarding ceremony of the âTumarâ National Television Awards is currently underway at the KazMedia Center in the Kazakh capital, Nur-Sultan, Kazinform correspondent reports.

40 finalists have been shortlisted for the âTumarâ award this year. 250 creative works in ten categories, including 88 in the Kazakh language and 162 in the Russian language, have been submitted for the award.
The biggest number of works has been submitted under The Best Documentary category â 42. 40 people are vying for The Best TV Journalist Award and 38 â for The Best TV Host Award.
Winners will get a traditional Tumar statuette and a 1-million-tenge prize for their contribution to the development of Kazakhstani television. ....

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – Kanybek Zhumashev has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Information Committee of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazinform reports.

According to the ministry s official Telegram channel says, Mr. Zhumashev was born in 1970 in Zhetybai village, Mangistau region. He is a graduate of the Al-Farabi Kazakh State University and Yessenov State University.
He worked for some time in the regional educational department of Mangistau region and was deputy akim (governor) of Mangistau region.
Later he was the Secretary of the Nur Otan Party. In 2019 he was named as the deputy akim (governor) of Mangistau region. ....
