Watertown Contributory seeks core fixed-income managers

Watertown Contributory Retirement System is searching for a core fixed-income manager or managers to run $35 million to $40 million for the $250 million pension fund.
DiMeo Schneider & Associates, investment consultant to the plan, is assisting with the search.
The proposed strategy must be long-only with an emphasis on core fixed-income securities. Core-plus strategies will not be considered.
The search is being conducted to comply with state law requiring contracts be put out to bid every seven years, said Barbara A. Sheehan, pension fund director. Income Research & Management is the current manager and is invited to rebid. ....
