Sales of electric cars did improve slightly, with 980 driven out of show rooms in the first few weeks of the year. Used car imports saw a 3 per cent rise in January when compared with the same month last year. Another 16 year old boy was seriously injured when a row broke out on East Road, East Wall at around nine last night. A man in his 20s later presented himself to hospital with injuries. It’s believed around ten teenagers and a delivery man were among those at the scene when a row broke out. Gardaí are asking anyone with information to contact Store Street or any Garda station. ....
Two arrested after cocaine and cannabis worth over €122,000 seized in Galway 14:16 Thursday, 21 January 2021 Share it iRadio Stock Image Gardaí have arrested two men after seizing cocaine and cannabis worth over €122,000 in Co. Galway. The drugs and €4,000 in cash were recovered at a house and field in Turloughmore yesterday evening at around 5:30pm. When Gardaí started searched the house, one man fled into a nearby field where €84,000 worth of cocaine was found. Two men in their 30s were arrested and charged in connection with the seizure, and are due before Galway District Court this afternoon. Written by: ....
