The power to tread is the power to dominate the enemy and his forces of deception, danger, disease and death.
From our previous studies, we have been exploring the power God has given to us as His children to tread on serpents and scorpions.

Substandard seeds: Compensation to affected farmers assured

MANSEHRA: Director Agriculture Department Maqsoodur Rehman has
said that growers, who suffered the financial losses because of the low germination of the wheat seeds
sold by the department, would be compensated accordingly.
“We have launched a chemical analysis of the wheat seeds sold to growers by the Agriculture Department but its germinations remained as low as 60 percent,” he told the affected farmers in the Pulrah area here on Thursday.
Led by Rehman, an Agriculture Department team visited the agricultural fields where the substandard wheat seeds had been sowed in the mid-December. ....

Leaders of the Pakistan Kissan Mazdoor Tehreek (PKMT) and Roots for Equity on Wednesday criticised the Ministry of National Food Security and Research’s recent decision to start the registration process for granting intellectual property rights (IPRs) for plants and seeds under the Plant Breeders’ Rights Act, 2016 and said that the act would take away farmers’ centuries-old traditional rights of saving and selling seeds.
Roots for Equity’s chairperson Dr Azra Sayeed and PKMT leaders Raja Mujeeb and Asif Khan, while addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club, said that as a result of national and transnational seed corporations claiming intellectual property rights over seeds, not only would the country become dependent on corporations for national food security and food sovereignty, but the royalties paid to transnational corporations for IPRs would massively ....

Philippines: Selling farmers produce from backyard gardens
The Davao del Norte Investment and Promotion Office (DNIPC) is now selling fruits and vegetables produced from the local small farmers and backyard gardeners at the Pasalubong Center in the Provincial Capitol.
This was done in line with the provincial government’s KAAGAPAY (Kausa sa Agrikultura ug Panginabuhian sa Barangay) food security program, which promises to take care of the marketing of the harvests on top of the production assistance. Through KAAGAPAY, the harvests of the small farmers and backyard gardeners are bought by DNIPC, which will then be resold at the Pasalubong Center. ....
