• Christopher R. Burton, 37, homeless, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. Wednesday on a Greene County warrant accusing him of illegal use of a credit card.
ACCIDENTS
• Pamela J. Beeley, 43, of Jacksonville was cited on a charge of driving too fast for conditions after the car she was driving and one being driven by Gerald E. Day, 81, of Jacksonville collided at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday at Morton and Hardin avenues.
• Clarence E. Little, 92, of Roodhouse was cited on a charge of following too closely after the car he was driving and one being driven by Benjamin M. Lewis, 22, of White Hall collided at 9:22 a.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of West Morton Avenue. Little had minor injuries but declined medical attention, according to police. ....

• Kyle A. Price, 48, of Carrollton was booked into Greene County Jail at 10:43 a.m. Friday on a charge of violating a stalking or no-contact order.
• Bethany N. Vahle, 41, residence unknown, was booked into Greene County Jail at 10:01 p.m. Feb. 9 on a Greene County arrest warrant accusing her of residential burglary.
• Tasha C. Peters, 32, of Wrights was booked into Greene County Jail at 4:09 a.m. Feb. 2 on a disorderly conduct charge and on a Jersey County warrant accusing her of failing to appear in court. ....

WINCHESTER A Manchester house sustained heavy damage in a fire Tuesday.
Winchester and Roodhouse firefighters were called about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday to 202 Main St. because of smoke in the home’s attic. Firefighters found a fire in the ceiling of the kitchen area, Winchester fire Chief Fred Andrews said.
The residents were able to evacuate without injury.
The fire is believed to have been electrical in nature.
It was the second house fire this week for the Winchester department. Firefighters were called about 1:22 p.m. Sunday to a house at 235 Exchange St. in Glasgow. The house was a total loss, Andrews said. ....

If a review by Midwest School Consultants determines Bluffs and Winchester school districts could consolidate, the consultants will present options for how the consolidation might look.Keep It 100
WINCHESTER A study on the feasibility of consolidation is undergoing a few revisions but then will be presented to the Winchester and Bluffs school boards for consideration.
The school districts are exploring the option of consolidating. The districts already share several programs, including athletics, and have the same superintendent.
If a review by Midwest School Consultants determines the districts could consolidate, the consultants will present options for how the consolidation might look, such as which buildings would close, how students would be taken to and from school, and what elements could be restructure ....
