Premier Brian Pallister said parents should have better engagement with decision-makers under the new education system.
The premier made his first remarks on Tuesday about the education overhaul announced on Monday afternoon. The restructuring would eliminate 37 school divisions and replace those with 15 regions and a central authority. Parents will make up school community councils which will have representation on the school advisory board which will have a line to the authority.
