Mahadevaswamy, ZAK Chairman told the Bangalore Mirror, “When this chicken is supplied to the zoos, the excess fat content in their body mass makes the wild animals gain weight. Most of the carnivores do not like chicken as they are used to beef. We have requested the state government to allow the supply of beef to all the 10 zoos in the state.” ....

(Representative image) BALLIA: A 22-year-old man was arrested here on Tuesday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl, making obscene videos of her and attempting to pressure the minor into religious conversion for marriage, police said. The accused and his father were arrested while they were supposedly attempting to flee and charged with rape and unlawful religious conversion and under sections of the POCSO Act, they said. The Muslim youth on January 11 entered the house of a 14-year-old girl, and raped her. After this, he made a clip, and exerted pressure on the girl by showing the video clip. The girl then on January 13 narrated the incident to her parents. Since the accused were influential, the family members of the girl could not muster courage to lodge a complaint, superintendent of police (SP) Vipin Tada said. ....

The arrested persons Abdul Rehman alias Golu (21) and his father Kalim have been booked under sections 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 376 (rape) of IPC, sections 3, 4, 17 and 18 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and sections 3 and 5(1) of UP Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Ordinance, 2020. According to reports, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by Golu living in the neighborhood when she was alone in her house on January 11. He also made a video of it. The girl narrated the ordeal to her parents when Golu started pressurizing her for sexual relationship by showing the video. ....
