CM BS Yediyurappa on Monday laid the foundation stone for the Vijayapura (Bijapur)
airport in a virtual ceremony from Shivamogga. The airport will be constructed at a cost of Rs 220 crore in a public-private partnership (PPP) model on 727 acres in
Burnapura and
Madhabavi villages in Vijayapura district.
Yediyurappa said that once completed, he would ask the Union Aviation ministry to include the airport under the ‘Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik’ (
