Charles B. Mills Sr., 84, of Logan Avenue, Tyrone, is running for mayor of Tyrone Borough on the Republican ballot.
Mills attended Indiana University and the Pa. Police Academy. He spent 31 years in the military and attained the rank of sergeant major. He was wounded twice, earned a Bronze Star, two Purple Hearts and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross. He served four tours in Vietnam.
Mills served as Chief of Police in Mount Alto with 17 years of experience. He was Chief of Police in Snyder Township for five years.
“Tyrone Borough has been struggling; it needs a complete change in the way things are handled,” Mills said. “I would like to be the voice for Tyrone residents. ....
