A man was killed Sunday as he was walking in Spartanburg, the Spartanburg County Coroner s Office confirmed on Thursday.Coroner Rusty Clevenger said Guy Dale Covington Sr., 55, was struck by a vehicle on W. O. Ezelle Boulevard near Chester Street and was pronounced dead just after 7:30 p.m. The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and torso, Clevenger said.The incident is being investigated by the Coroner s Office and the Spartanburg Police Department.No other information was immediately released.
