Funding for Covid hit businesses in Wiltshire reopens

Wiltshire businesses have been invited to apply for coronavirus support grants. 
Wiltshire Council has reopened the discretionary grants to help businesses struggling with the impact of national Covid restrictions. 
The scheme is only open for new applicants or those who applied before November last year. 
A Wiltshire Council spokesman said: “Any business that has already applied for an ARG since November does not need to reapply as they will, if eligible, receive any further payments automatically.”
We have reopened the Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG, also known as Discretionary Payments) to help support businesses.
The grant has been reopened for new applications only or for those who had previously applied before Nov 2020. ....

Covid business grants update: pubs have one week left to apply for Christmas Support Payment

WILTSHIRE Council is urging owners and managers of pubs to submit their applications for the Christmas Support Payment before the deadline expires on January 31.
The lump sum grant of £1,000 is for ‘wet’ pubs that derive less than half of their sales from food and were established before December 1 2020.
Pubs that were already successful through the Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG) have been contacted to receive the payment and to be made aware of other grants to which they are entitled.
Any pub that has not already applied for the LRSG needs to apply before the deadline or they will miss out. ....

Central Bank instructs banks to defer payment of cash dividends


The Monetary Board of the Central Bank having considered the possible adverse impact on liquidity and other key performance indicators of licensed commercial banks and licensed specialised banks have issued directions on restrictions on discretionary payments of licensed banks.
Accordingly, these directions shall be applicable to every licensed bank incorporated or established in Sri Lanka and every licensed bank, which is a branch of a bank incorporated or established outside Sri Lanka, on a standalone basis.
Restrictions on Discretionary Payments:
– Every licensed bank incorporated or established in Sri Lanka shall defer payment of cash dividends until the financial statements for the year 2020 are finalised and audited by its External Auditor. ....
