And in today’s House proceedings, Moses Shyne Barrow made his first presentation as the Leader of the Opposition. And he made his debut by, for the first time in the history of the Sitting of the House of National Assembly, engaging Standing Order Twenty-Two for which he was granted leave to make a personal explanation.  And after that brief presentation about his commitment to reform and change, he took his place next to his three colleagues, Hugo Patt; Tracey Panton and Patrick Faber. Notably, Faber was about ten minutes late and when he walked in didn’t greet Barrow nor Patt – he walked to his seat and greeted Panton – the only other member who didn’t sign the letter to remove him as Leader of Opposition. Faber was seated next to the seat for Queen Square member Denise Barrow, who was absent. We asked Leader of the Opposition Moses Shyne Barrow about Barrow’s absence. Here ....

“Do not play with our salary increase. We deserve it. We have worked for it. I must say also that the business community said we shouldn’t get our salary increase and I must remind the business community that it is the union that negotiated for salary increases for public officers and teachers.
