Ottawa County Senior Resources is recognizing its drivers who delivered senior meals to throughout the year, designating May as Home Delivery Meal Driver Month.
The mission of the Home Delivered Meals program in Ottawa County is to provide nutritious meals, wellness checks and caring contact to homebound seniors. These services are so important to seniors as home delivered meal drivers are sometimes the only daily face-to-face interaction that some of them have.
“Delivering meals provides an excellent opportunity for us to check on the well being of our seniors,” said Dianne Martin Mortensen, Director of Ottawa County Senior Resources. ....
