Sebastian Webber’s dreams of becoming a touring musician are one step closer to being realised thanks to a first for the University of Southern Queensland.
Aspiring musos can now enrol for the Springfield Campus’s Bachelor of Music program, thanks to a partnership between the uni and Woodcrest State College.
It is the first time the degree has been offered at USQ in its 50-year history, and Mr Webber couldn’t be more excited.
“This opportunity has really helped because I am learning about the guitar and developing my own music,” he said. ....

TWO youths have been charged over the alleged stabbing death of Springfield teenager Yannis Leulusoo, 16, ending a 36-hour police hunt.
A 16-year-old Mango Hill boy was on Sunday charged with the teen s murder, while a Wooloowin boy, 17, was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder.

It is understood police will allege the tragedy unfolded when Mr Leulusoo was allegedly stabbed in the stomach at Brisbane s Roma St about 8pm last Thursday.
The teen was found by a passer-by, who reportedly made the desperate call to triple-zero, after he stumbled about 200 metres to find help. ....

The teenager fatally stabbed in a horrific attack in the Brisbane CBD on Thursday night has been identified as Yannis Leulusoo.
The 16-year-old, whose Facebook page says he went to Woodcrest State College, was killed when he was stabbed by an older man who he knew.
A close friend described Yannis as the life of the party who always looked out for his friends.
