Retired Massachusetts firefighter dies of occupational cancer

The Wareham Fire Department is mourning the loss of a former member.
Retired Firefighter David Wahlstrom died of occupational cancer, the department announced Friday. Because of the type of cancer, the department reported the sad news as a line of duty death.Sign up for our Newsletters

Earlier this week, the first responder community in Wareham suffered another tragedy when a retired police officer died of COVID-19 complications.
