Little Free Pantry to appear in Whitefield
March 03, 2021WHITEFIELD A pantry filled with free items for those in need will be housed next to the Whitefield Public Library after approval from the Town last week.
Whitefield Librarian Courtney Vashaw said, When we were approached with the idea, I felt it was a natural extension of the library s mission, which is to be the heart of the community and connect people with resources of all kinds. The spot is within walking distance from town and is safe and well lit by a motion detector light. The board wanted the nod from the town to make sure we weren t going to impact plowing, but once we got that, we were good to go. ....
