Pickens, County Ga After having the weekend to prepare, the Pickens Dragonettes (17-4, 9-2) welcomed the Northwest Whitfield Lady Bruins (9-9, 9-2) for the second of their two regular season games. On Thursday, February 4th, the Nettes went to Tunnel Hill and defeated the Lady Bruins 50-48. That was their first ever win against Northwest Whitfield in 19 games. The 20th game against these two teams was one of the most important. With the home crowd firmly behind them, the Nettes came away with a 50-30 win.
 
To start the first quarter, the Lady Bruins got back to back buckets to take a 4-0 lead early. Cassidy Richards, got the Nettes on the board with a pair of free throws to make it 4-2. The two teams were even the rest of the quarter as Northwest Whitfield took a 10-8 lead into the second. ....
