DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman has extended the forced leave of Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan Vice-Chancellor Prof Iftikhar Ahmed for 90 days.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Vice-chancellor Agricultural University Dr Masroor Ilahi Babar took over the additional charge of the VC Gomal University here on Friday, according to an official statement.
Dr Babar has been assigned the charge after Governor Khyber Pakhtun-khwa and the Chancellor of KP’s public sector universities Shah Farman sent Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Khan (outgoing VC) on forced leave.
The action is stated to be a consequent action after the former VC (Prof Iftikhar Ahmad Khan) raised objection to a decision of the provincial cabinet with regard to up-gradation of agriculture faculty of Gomal University to a full-fledged Agriculture University. ....

Governor Shah Farman has sent Gomal University Vice Chancellor Dr Iftikhar Ahmad on a forced leave for 90 days on the ground of criticizing the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government’s decision and writing a letter to PM Imran Khan directly.
In a notification issued by Higher Education Department on April 22, Dr Iftikhar was sent on forced leave and in his place Dr Mansoor Elahi Baber, Vice Chancellor (VC) University of Agriculture, DI Khan, has been appointed as VC Gomal University.
Dr Iftikhar Ahmad has already tendered his resignation after developing differences with Governor Shah Farman. ....
