PUTRAJAYA: Motorists with traffic summons issued in Shah Alam or Selangor need not have to appear physically in court to make their guilty plea as it can be done through long distance communication technology, effective Feb 2.
This followed the launch of the online guilty plea system for traffic offences or e-PG System, according to a statement from the Office of the Federal Court Chief Registrar.
It said the e-PG System will be applied by the Shah Alam Magistrate Court in Selangor for all traffic cases registered in the Shah Alam Magistrate Court 3 beginning Feb 2 to 5, 2021. ....

e-PG system set up to expedite guilty plea for traffic offences

PETALING JAYA: A system has been set up by the Malaysian judiciary for people to plead guilty for traffic offences, says the Office of the Registrar General.
In a statement on Friday (Jan 29), it said the e-PG system has been set up to expedite the guilty plea of those with traffic summons.
“The e-PG system is a platform in the Court’s application system which is used to make guilty pleas through remote communication technology, which is also an alternative to existing proceedings requiring a summoned person (OKS) to appear physically in court.
“Summoned person who chooses to make a guilty plea through the e-PG System, they are exempted from having to appear in court, except if ordered by the court, ” it said. ....
