Filmed as 6 ten-minute episodes, new Australian drama series ‘The Tailings’ follows the events that take place after the death of teenage Jas’s father. The tight-knit community of her small town, nestled in the hauntingly beautiful mountains of Tasmania’s West Coast, puts his death down to an accident. Jas does not buy it and embarks on her own investigation of what happened to her dad.

The 6 x 10-minute mystery transports viewers to a remote town nestled amidst the eerie and hauntingly beautiful West Coast Tasmanian mountains, and explores the experience of two women (Tegan Stimson and Mabel Li) confronting the paradoxical layers of grief.

Deuce Film Productions ends covid hibernation with two feature documentaries, a festival released short film, director Petros Ktenas’ feature film debut ‘Nightfeed’ and a slate of optioned film series in development.

How about the year we just had – director / producer Petros Ktenas (above) wasn’t going to let COVID keep Deuce Film Productions down. Motivated to achieve some significant goals amidst the background noise of the post pandemic world. Moving forward into a more sustainable and self reliant production company business model was a huge priority.
When COVID hit just after May, 2020 – PK and the DFP team were starting to feel the effects of the pandemic. Panic, amongst their regular commercial advertising clients saw hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of productions on their job board dropping off like flies. Every week another big project fell over, was postponed or travel ....
