Earlier this year, Shahid Kapoor walked out of Shashank Khaitan’s Yoddha. The actor was supposed to take up the actioner after completing his sports drama Jersey but chose to leave the project instead. Later, it was revealed he did so to be part of Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s OTT series, with which he’ll mark his OTT debut. Now, we hear that Shashank hasn’t given up on the dream of making Yoddha. He’s known for making comedies and wanted to break his image with Yoddha.

When Kartik Aaryan landed a role in Dharma Productions' Dostana 2, the news grabbed major headlines. The much anticipated sequel and the role which major of Bollywood was vying for landed in Aaryan's kitty.

After delivering the biggest box office success of his career in Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor’s superstardom is garnering a lot of megaprojects. Shahid has completed the production work on his upcoming Jersey, which is announced to release on Diwali 2021. He was lately shooting in Goa for Raj & Dk’s web series which will also star Vijay Sethupathi alongside. Reportedly Shahid was going to star in Shashank Khaitan’s Yoddha but the partnership did not end up going to the big screen. The actor is yet to officially announce his next film after Jersey but may have already signed onto foray into production.

Jersey and Raj and DK's next, Shahid was supposed to work on Shashank Khaitan's
Yoddha but he walked out of the film at the last minute. He was also in talks for several other films, including the Hindi remake of
Surarai Pottru, a Ram Madhvani film and the big budgeted Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial
Karna. Now, we can tell you that although he's making his digital debut on Amazon Prime Video, he has inked a huge deal with Netflix as well.

Bollywood Hungama, "Shahid has been paid to the tune of over Rs. 70-80 crore for a trilogy that he's going to star in. It's a period mythological war saga that will be adapted from Amish Tripathi's novel. Not just that, this will also mark Shahid's foray into production."
