Alauddin Ali’s 68th birthday today

Today marks the 68
th birthday of the late Alauddin Ali, one of Bangladesh s most revered music directors of all time. The National Award winner passed away after a long battle with cancer on August 9.
Born in Dhaka on this day in 1952 to parents Ustad Jadab Ali and Johra Khatun, Alauddin Ali grew up in a musically rich environment. His uncle, Sadek Ali, and cousins Mansur Ali, Yunus Ali and Momotaz Uddin were all music composers during the 60 s.
He started his musical career as an instrumentalist with Shaheed Altaf Mahmud, and honed his craft further working alongside famed music director, Anwar Parvez. ....
