Two children were among three people who were killed when a gas cylinder used for inflating balloons exploded in a school playground at Matarbari under Moheshkhali upazila in Cox s Bazar this morning.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Ehsan (12), Sadekul Islam Rahat (12) and the balloon vendor Mohammad Alamgir, reports our local correspondent quoting Mohammad Abdul Hai, officer-in-charge of Moheshkhali police station.
The gas cylinder exploded suddenly when vendor Alamgir was inflating balloons at Matarbari High School playground 10:30am where several stalls were installed centering a two-day long annual meeting of Azizul Ulum Madrasha, Master Mohammad Ullah, chairman of Matarbari union parishad told The Daily Star. ....
