Man, horse die after vehicle hauling trailer hits tree in Wayne County crash

WAYNE COUNTY, MI – A man and horse died early Sunday morning after a vehicle went off road and hit a tree in Sumpter Township, police said.
Police and fire/rescue were dispatched shortly before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20 to Willis Road near Sharon Court in Sumpter Township, roughly 10 miles southeast of Ypsilanti, for a vehicle that’d reportedly hit a tree.
An initial investigation has revealed a truck with four occupants aboard was headed east on Willis Road, per a statement from the Sumpter Township Police Department. ....
