'N' driver tells police speed limit was 'too slow' after being busted for excessive speeding

N driver tells police speed limit was too slow after being busted for excessive speeding
A BC driver couldn’t escape a recent ticket despite displaying an astonishing amount of honesty with police.
On Tuesday, VPD Traffic Sergeant Mark Christensen posted a tweet detailing the interesting encounter with the new “N” driver.
According to Christensen, the motorist was clocked s going 106 km/h in a 50 km/h zone in the Lower Mainland.
However, after being pulled over, the driver told police that the speed limit was “too slow” and that it should have been 70 km/h.
When you are a new driver doing 106 in 50 and you say to the officer “speed limit is too slow it should be 70” and “I failed my driving test twice for going too fast” you can enjoy walking home! $368 and 7 day impound @VancouverPD@ChiefPalmer@DeputyChow@VPDTrafficUnitpic.twitter.com/9y1nG4gt9t Sgt Mark Christensen (@baldguy1363) May 25, 2021 ....

Making a commuter bridge your own racetrack

Still, the driver is lucky he doesn’t live in West Australia. Hoon laws there (similar to our stunt laws) don’t mess around. “If a person is found guilty of three hoon-related offences inside three years, their vehicle can be permanently forfeited by the court. Upon such a court order being granted, these vehicles can then be disposed of in a manner determined by the Chief Commissioner of Police. If the forfeited vehicle is sold by the State of Victoria, the proceeds from the sale will be retained by the State of Victoria. Alternatively, the vehicle may be crushed or otherwise disposed of by police.” ....
