A couple and their two adult children were identified as the victims of a fatal fire Tuesday night, according to the Oneida County Sheriff s Office.
Richard C. Davis, 79, his wife, Johanna M. Davis, 79, their son, Richard C. Davis, 50, and their daughter, Tina M. Davis, 59, were found dead at their home on Rome Oriskany Road in the city of Rome after firefighters responded to the fully-involved house fire, officials said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, firefighters said Thursday.
Rome firefighters received a call at about 8:59 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters entered the homes and removed two of the residents initially, before recovering the other residents remains after extinguishing the fire later that night, officials reported. The bodies were later identified by the Onondaga County Medical Examiner s Office. ....
