A Stone County woman, 32-year-old Kayla N. Callahan of Mountain View, is facing a felony charge of battery on a detention/correction officer following an alleged altercation as she was being jailed.According to the probable cause affidavit, Callahan was being “very disruptive and confrontational with jail staff” during her booking into the Stone County Detention Center Feb. 4.
When two officers attempted to conduct a body search for weapons or contraband before placing Callahan in a cell, she reportedly struck one in the head twice with her hand. In addition, the allegedly pushed the two officers several times and struck a second one numerous times. ....
