SOLANA BEACH 
A body found a week ago in Solana Beach was identified as a 59-year-old man who authorities believe was homeless, the Medical Examiner’s Office said Wednesday.
Landscapers found Alan Dale Pyles prone and unresponsive in an embankment along North Highway 101 near West Cliff Street the morning of May 5, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Paramedics confirmed he was dead.
How he died remained under investigation Wednesday. Officials previously said his death did not appear suspicious.

His body was the third found in North County in recent weeks. Swimmers at Carlsbad State Beach found Samuel Palava Santillan, 34, floating face down in the ocean April 29. On May 4, a passerby near Stone Steps Beach in Encinitas found 32-year-old Christopher Andrew Gibson. Authorities did not say where Santillan and Gibson lived. ....
