TEMECULA, CA A man accused of killing a 30-year-old woman found in an abandoned vehicle in Temecula pleaded not guilty Monday to a murder charge.
Edwin Omar Cordova, 28, of Wildomar is charged in the death of Cynthia Denise Ibarra Cabrera of Murrieta, who was found dead on March 18.
He was arraigned on the murder count, with a sentence-enhancing allegation of using a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, before Superior Court Judge Judith Clark, who kept the defendant s bail at $1 million.
Central Valley men charged in alleged drive-by BB gun shooting in Palm Springs

Felony assault charges were filed on Monday against two Central Valley men accused of shooting a senior with a BB gun while he was sitting at a bus stop in Palm Springs.
Christian Vitto-McVay, 19, of Modesto and Larry Bradford Williams, 26, of Stockton are accused in the drive-by attack reported about 6:50 p.m. March 30 in the 1000 block of East Palm Canyon Drive.
The victim, whose name and age were withheld, was treated at the scene and did not hospitalization, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
Arrest made in bucket truck theft that left a contractor seriously injured
The Beaumont Police Department have arrested a suspect accused of stealing a bucket truck and seriously injuring a contractor.
The incident happened on Oct. 8, 2020 in the area of Beaumont Avenue and Oak Valley Parkway. Police said the suspect drove off in the bucket truck while the contractor was still on it.

The thief damaged power lines and other utility cables. Eventually, the contractor was thrown from the bucket, causing serious injuries. The suspect went on to crash into a tree at Cherry Avenue and fled the area.
