THE Bradford Hindu Council (BHC) organised a huge food collection for Mind in Bradford and domestic abuse charity Staying Put.
Last year, Mind provided a three-course meal on Christmas Day for its clients who might have otherwise been alone. It couldn t do the same this year, but still wanted to provide Christmas food hampers.
The Shree Prajapati Association Bradford (SPABfd), a member organisation of the BHC, helped by lodging an appeal to their community, family and friends. Meena Mistry and Dharmesh Mistry led the appeal and the support was overwhelming. People made and donated samosas, spring rolls, pasties, trifles, cakes and more. ....
