Tributes paid to Dublin nurse who died from COVID on Christmas Eve
Tributes have been paid to a nurse who died from COVID on Christmas Eve.
Mariter Tarugo, who was from the Philippines but lived in Dalkey, had been working on St Andrew’s Ward in St Vincent’s Hospital in Dublin when she fell ill.
The 60-year-old grandmother was admitted to the hospital as a patient a week ago and died on December 24.
Her husband has also contracted the virus.
Mariter is survived by her husband, Nicolas; her daughter Nice; her grandchildren Axl Ezekiel and Arabella Faith; son-in-law Albert; and her extended family, relatives and friends across the world. ....
