During a season when giving is more important than ever Central Okanagan students, staff, and families showed their generosity by donating more than 30,000 pounds of food and more than $25,000 in cash and gift cards.
In addition to food and money, students motivated their peers, parents, and staff to donate more than 250 family hampers, 700 handmade Christmas cards and 140 gift bags for seniors, 75 handmade Christmas cards for the Canadian Mental Health Association, thousands of donated clothing items, including coats, hats, gloves, and new socks as well as hundreds of new toys to support families in need, according to a Central Okanagan Public Schools press release. ....
