It is not enough to be rid of Abbott himself, the damage caused by his time in office must also be undone. If the Turnbull government fails to do so - if it fails to overwhelmingly divert from the abominable course set during the Abbott years - then it will be no better a government than its dismal predecessor; and will be as deserving as Abbott was to comprehensively lose the next federal election.. . We are watching. We are waiting. And we will not tread lightly in the meantime.
