Detailed description is I am a news anchor at WTVR CBS 6 in Richmond, Va..CBS 6 is the reason I ended up going into the news business. I was only a teenager when I first stepped foot into the studios. I was lucky enough to be chosen as a "For Kids' Sake" kid back in the 1980's. We were on a Saturday morning children's show in the summer, and that experience got me hooked.. . In my 15 years in the television news business, I have worked in front of the camera as a news anchor and reporter. I have also worked behind the scenes as a producer. I consider myself lucky to have been able to work all of those years close to home here in Virginia at stations in Richmond, Roanoke and Martinsville.. . I grew up in Henrico, and graduated from J.R. Tucker and James Madison University. My husband and I are the proud parents of a wonderful little boy and two animals we adopted from rescue groups here in Richmond, a dog and a cat.
