My name is Nathan Bennett-Fleming, a 25-year-old native Washingtonian that is seeking your support this year to serve as your next District of Columbia Shadow Representative. We launched this site so that you can become more acquainted with our campaign. I encourage you to use this site to learn more, connect with the campaign and to contribute to our movement for DC's future. . . I believe the best way to serve my community is to take a leadership role in D.C's over 200 year fight for political rights and equality with every other citizen of the United States. It is a matter of respect and dignity. The fact that Washington does not have the same political rights as a state is the most important issue impacting D.C., because our lack of self-government rights affects our ability to make investments in education, fully develop our economy and provide the jobs and economic opportunity that would make D.C. a better place to live in. With your help and involvement, we can be the ones who finally bring justice and democracy to the District of Columbia. . .
