As diretrizes gerais que nortearam a criação da cooperativa foi a necessidade de fortalecimento dos produtores rurais da região com a facilidade de acesso ao crédito. A partir de 1991, a CREDI passou a ser presidida por Flávio Vaz de Lima. Em 2004, buscando ampliar o atendimento e o extendendo à população arcoense e da região, foi obtida a autorização pelo Banco Central para atuar com a Livre Admissão de Associados.. Em Pains, a Cooperativa de Crédito Rural de Pains - Sicoob Credipains foi fundada no ano de 1990 pelos Senhores Marcos Antonio Soares de Abreu, Aécio de Paula Veloso e Aldo Ares de Sousa, tendo inicialmente trinta associados. A cooperativa nasceu com o intuito de levar mais acessibilidade financeira aos produtores rurais da região. No ano de 2000 foi fundado o PA de Vila Costina com o apoio da Prefeitura Municipal de Pains que por muitos anos concedeu o espaço para o funcionamento do mesmo. Diante da necessidade de ampliar o atendimento a toda a população de Pains e Vila Costina, no ano de 2007, a CREDI passou a atuar como Livre Admissão de Associados.. . Uma nova Fase. . Em 2010, as histórias de ambas cooperativas se uniram em um único propósito – somar forças para se tornarem Sicoob União Centro Oeste cuja configuração foi fruto da união da Crediarcos e Credipains. A mudança significou para os cooperados o fortalecimento da entidade em que as unidades de Arcos, Pains e Vila Costina passam por um crescimento na região onde atuam, e juntas para alcançam melhores resultados para melhor atender às demandas dos cooperados, consolidando, assim, a marca “Sicoob União Centro-Oeste”. . Com o crescimento dos resultados a partir da união das duas cooperativas foi possível atender ao sonho dos cooperados de Vila Costina de ter uma sede própria do PA.
