Detailed description is We would like to invite you to the international conference Universal Learning Design hosted by Masaryk University in Brno from 11 to 15 February 2013. The second conference ULD held in Linz 2012 as a special track of the 13th ICCHP achieved its goal of targeting the attention of researchers and developers of technologies providing for people’s special needs towards inclusive tertiary education. Its only difficulty was that having been organised as just one track of a much broader international forum it did not offer enough time to those whose wished to go deeper and discuss the presented topics. For this reason, the 3rd Universal Learning Design conference which will again be organised by Masaryk University in Brno on 11–15 February 2013 will be divided into four topical sections going on in two parallel presentation halls:. . Standards of Universal Learning Design at Universities and Testing of Persons with Special Needs. . Linguistic Competence of the Hearing Impaired and the Role of Sign Languages and Text Reporting in Tertiary Education. . Universal Design of Digital Documents and Public Libraries for Purposes of Tertiary Education. . Compensation Tools for the Specific Learning Disorders and Other Types of Diversity in Tertiary Education. . Both presentation halls will offer papers in four versions conveyed in three parallel communication channels: English together with translation into International Sign and speech-to-text reporting in English and Czech. In addition to papers presented in the sections, the floor will be offered to teachers, companies and institutions who wish to hold workshops, round tables or presentations of their teaching methods and didactical or service technology. The ULD 2013 conference in Brno will be held under the auspices of Petr Fiala, Minister of Education of the Czech Republic, and Mikuláš Bek, Masaryk University Rector, and it will be realized as part of the European Social Fund project (Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness) called ExpIn (Network of Expert Institutions Providing for Inclusive Tertiary Education)..
