We start with an introduction to computers and familiarize little learners with the monitor, keyboard and mouse.. . We include fundamental building blocks such as:. . Recognizing shapes and colors. Learning to tell the time. The human body chart. Recognition of farm animals, wild animals and domestic animals. Fruit and vegetables. Transport methods. ABC's and 123's. The different jobs people do and much more!!. . Some fun time with sounds as well as loved nursery rhymes and classic children's songs are included.. . This is a great addition to any youngster's learning program while they become comfortable working on the computer.. . Virtual Kidz are mobile and visit pre-primary schools all the way from Knysna to Mossel Bay and in Cape Town.. . Classes are once a week for 40 minutes consisting of a 10 minute discussion regarding the monthly theme using flash cards and 30 minutes working on the computer.. . Classes never exceed more than four learners at a time and each learner works on his/her own computer.. . The computer programs we use each term incorporate most of the school themes used throughout the year.. . Learners are individually evaluated after every class and an evaluation summery is sent home at the end of each school term.. . Alternatively we also provide private classes at the learner's home.
