This research group focuses on areas related to the Web. Web is a massive system which is not reachable entirely by any individual, group, organization, or commercialized industry. Due to this reason there is always a part of the Web which is termed as "Dark Web (analogous to dark matter)". Discovery of the Dark Web becomes more challenging with the rapid growth of the Web on a daily basis. Moreover, the part of Web which is discovered is not processed with completeness and soundness. Science of the Web is not only entirely related to Computer Science but it also involves Social Sciences due to the large community base of Web consumers. Thereby, there is a strong need for understanding what goes on the Web and how it impacts our real world.. . Web Science is concerned with the full scope of socio-technical relationships that are engaged in the World Wide Web. It is based on the notion that understanding the Web involves not only an analysis of its architecture and applications, but also insight into the people, organizations, policies, and economics that are affected by and subsumed within it.
