Detailed description is A shelter dog prison program, that takes temperamentally sound shelter dogs into a state correctional facility and given to inmate handlers for training. Welcome to a Dog's Tale From Jail, a shelter dog prison program, founded, operated, and taught by Pam Graci of Wags and Woof Dog Training. Here you will find dogs in a unique 6-16 week program. Each dog has been taken from a shelter/rescue, currently Animals for Adoption, Pets Come First and Nittany Greyhounds, and placed into SCI-Benner Township State Correctional Facility. Each dog is assigned their own 2 man inmate handler/training team who will be responsible for their training and care 24/7 during their stay in the program. During this time the dogs will be taught the social skills and behaviors they will need to be welcome additions in their forever home. Confidence building, good manners, and basic skills will be the foundations that each dog will come away with after coming through the program. Please follow each dog's journey, as we will provide weekly updates from their handlers' journal, sharing what they have learned and the successes they have along the way.
