Detailed description is The Ohio Valley Node is a research component of the ADS at UC and is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network. As of September 2010, the OVN consists of 23 community-based treatment programs in 15 states in the Midwest region of the United States. The OVN includes the following states: West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Kansas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska. The community-based treatment programs include specialty addiction treatment centers representing different modalities of care; as well as general medical care settings such as emergency rooms, HIV clinics and family practice centers. The OVN has participated in over 25 national multi-site clinical trials on drug abuse treatment.
