In 2009, Jessee and Amanda Owens decided to take some risks to invest in something we believe in. Jessee wanted to provide the BEST transmission and automotive repair service in the 417 area, and that meant sacrificing his current job at a local auto repair shop and venturing out on his own, building our business and reputation from the ground up. Jessee had over 15 years of automotive repair experience, including top-notch training in transmissions while living in Kansas City, MO. After working at various shops and gaining endless training including dealership experience, he knew he could provide honest and superior repair services on his own. After endless prayer and research, we opened A&J Transmission & Auto Repair in August of 2009. We began on Fishel Way, leasing a small shop while we got our feet wet with this new business adventure we'd begun. Within 6 months of our lease on Fishel Way, the owner of the building had an interested buyer, so he offered to build us our own shop off A Hwy, which is where we are located now: 1761 State Hwy A, just outside of the city limits of Marshfield.
