Detailed description is Army Air Force Composite Group is a small New England Based WWII living history group. In the 1990's Atlantic Warbirds was formed. This group owned and operated several WWII era transports including C-47s and a C-54. The group was disbanded in the early 2000's. Although the planes were gone many of the groups volunteers continued to attend airshows together most notably, Mid Atlantic Air Museum's WWII Weekend. In 2015 several former AW members formed the Army Air Force Composite Group in order to actively participate as a registered Reenactor group at WWII Weekend. In late 2016 the group adopted the impression of a 15th AAF Service Squadron based in the MTO (Mediterranean Theater of Operations during WWII.
