Detailed description is artBOX on 17E is a project hosted by the International Ave BRZ and Calgary Arts Development, in order to support and increase the arts and in SE Calgary. artBOX on 17E is an artistic hub, located at 1807 42 Street SE, or at the corner of 42 Street on International (17) Avenue Southeast. artBOX is a project hosted jointly by the International Avenue Business Revitalization Zone (BRZ) and Calgary Arts Development. The vision of artBOX is to increase activity in the Greater Forest Lawn Area, and to support artists living and/or working in Greater Forest Lawn. . . artBOX provides large, affordable exhibition space, theatre and performance space, event space, meeting rooms, and artist studio space. Proposals from artists and organizations are given greater consideration if they include one or more of the following outcomes:. . *A High level of participation from local artists or community members. *Increased participation of artists, organizations and GFL community members from diverse ethnic/cultural backgrounds. *Benefits local businesses or increases to economic activity in GFL. *Provision of mentorship opportunities (not exclusively focused on youth). *Increased Community Engagement with the arts (accessible performances/exhibitions, community events or celebrations, community arts activities). .
