I do not have a store front. However, I do have a Cottage Food License from the Georgia Department of Agriculture which allows me to bake and decorate cakes in my own home. . . According to Hall County Zoning and Planning, I am not allowed to have customers come to my home because of the residential zoning and additional traffic in my neighborhood. There is also added liability that comes from having a business at a home. That being said, customers are not allowed to pick up cakes at my home. I am required to deliver or meet customers to give them their orders. . . I am not allowed to infringe on copyright/trademark laws by putting licensed characters on cakes, cookies, etc. There are steep penalties and I am not willing to risk it.
