Detailed description is Our mission is to collect, preserve and make available to the public historic information and artifacts pertaining to the land and people of Attica, MI. The Attica Museum was opened in October 2009 as an extension of the Attica Historical Society. The Attica Historical Society worked for many years to collect information and photographs that were used to publish "The Attica Historical Book" in 1992. Some time later, the Society disbanded, leaving the artifacts in the hands of the Attica Township Offices. In an effort to preserve this material, the Attica Township Board voted to convert the park maintenance shed behind the Township Hall into a storage unit. Since then, more artifacts and photos have been donated by local families and with the help of dedicated volunteers, the building has transformed into the Museum we enjoy today.
