Detailed description is Focus. Strengthen. Balance. . Balance Pilates Studio is committed to providing the highest caliber classical Pilates instruction. Sarah Cook, founder/owner/instructor of Balance Pilates has been passionately teaching Pilates for 10 years and is thrilled to be opening her own studio in central Ohio. Sarah was first introduced to Pilates when she attended the prestigious North Carolina School of the Arts for ballet. She continued to study the technique through college as a dancer at The University of North Carolina, Greensboro. After graduating she relocated to Florida, where she danced professionally with Voci, central Florida's premier modern dance company. After suffering several injuries, Sarah began to truly realize the amazing value of the Pilates method. With this realization came a strong desire bring the brilliance of Pilates to others; thus she began the certification process, completing her beginner/intermediate certification with Power Pilates. Deciding that training with the absolute best was the only option, Sarah relocated again to Atlanta, GA to apprentice under Davidson Reid and Anne Brendle at Studio Lotus. There, she completed her 600 hour apprenticeship and was promptly hired as a full time instructor. Marriage and children moved Sarah and her husband, Casey to Granville, OH in 2006. Sarah continued to teach Pilates at various studios in central Ohio and North Carolina during and after both of her pregnancies. Although she is classically trained, Sarah has taught at multiple Stott Pilates facilities and is familiar and comfortable with the contemporary repertoire. Sarah feels strongly that the strength of the classical method, and her training, has allowed her to seamlessly integrate into different studios whether they are classical or contemporary. This versatility gives Sarah a unique voice and a fresh approach. She remains completely committed to a classical, systematic, integrative approach to Pilates while valuing her experience in the more contemporary Pilates realm. Sarah truly believes in the value and genius of the Pilates method and brings excitement, experience, and energy to every session that she teaches. . . .
