Detailed description is Grown with Love! Hi! My name is Carrie and I own Barnside Nursery. I am a mom and love to grow plants! I am growing 900 mums for the fall of 2014! My husband, Aaron, and I own Barnside Nursery. Our roots have always been in agriculture. I grew up on a grain farm outside of Hecker, IL. My husband grew up in rural Evansville. While I attended SIUC for Agriculture Education I worked numerous horticulture positions from large garden centers to orchards. I fell in love with working with flowering plants. Barnside Nursery is our second job. I still teach agriculture & horticulture at a local school. But still wanted something I could keep busy during the summer. (An Ag teachers job is never done :-). Therefore, we decided to start growing mums last year and succeeded! We will be growing over 900 mums and asters this year. We love being able to provide our local community with high quality mums. We look forward to seeing you at our nursery this fall!
