Our goal is to provide students with opportunities to further their economics knowledge. We achieve this in a number of ways, including:. . 1) Hosting academic events. These include alumni and professor panels, guest speakers, and current events discussions.. . 2) Encouraging interaction with economics faculty. We organize multiple professor luncheons each semester, which feature professors discussing a topic of their choice over lunch. We also hold book clubs led by economics professors.. . 3) Annually publishing our research journal, The Eagletarian, which features research by current BC students.. . 4) Hosting academic advising sessions. During course selection each semester, we hold an event with senior economics majors intended to provide help for underclassmen deciding which classes and professors are right for them.. . 5) Providing economics resources through social media. Our Twitter feed links to interesting and topical economics articles, and our Facebook page provides relevant economics graphics and videos. . . 6) Offering leadership and career opportunities. For students interested in being more than a member, our executive board provides a great way to expand one’s leadership skills.
